Davilyn Lynch is a talented and prolific artist/book illustrator who lives in Launceston, Tasmania with her writer husband and their son.

Her latest book is Archie Can’t Sit Still, with story by Dani Vee and James Layton, to be published by Larrikin Press in May.

Davilyn has illustrated 15 picture books that have already been published or are in production. Three of these are written by her husband Stephen Lynch. The books she has illustrated have been published in English, Dutch, Spanish, Korean, Danish and German.

Congratulations to Helen Edwards! On Gallant Wings has been long-listed in the Book Links Historical Fiction awards 2026. This story sheds light on little known aspects of life in Australia during World War II - think flying boats and pigeons.

Brenton Cullen has signed for a new mid-grade adventure The Secret of Panther Valley, to be published in April/May 2027.

FILM ADAPTATIONS

Wave Hill, an adaptation of Frank Hardy's The Unlucky Australians, commences production financing in May 2026.
