Agency News September 2023 - April 2025

Congratulations to Robyn Bavati whose A Weekend with Oscar has won the 2025 Victor Prize for Readers aged 12-15 in Belgium for the French, Alice Jeunesse, edtion, translated byAnne Cohen Beucher. The book was orginally published in Australia in 2021 by Walker Books. The Victor Fund was set up in memory of Victor Van de Woestyne who died aged 13 in 2016. The goal of the Fund is to encourage children aged 12 to 15 to read, with the motto  'A child who reads is an adult who thinks.'

We are delighted to announce a number of new signings: Samantha Ross has signed with Penguin RandomHouse for her debut work of fiction, Jayne McIntyre  has signed with Riveted for her debut mid-grade novel/series and Kevin Nemeth has signed with Affirm Press for a heartwarming picture story-book text.

Helen Edwards has been super busy with three mid-grade works published with Riveted Press (Rebels of Mt Buffalo, 2023, Legend of the Lighthouse Moon, 2024 and On Gallant Wings, 2025) and is co-authoring a fourth with Kate Gordon to be published later this year. 

Maura Pierlot's  Alphabetter was published by Affirm Press in 2024 and a new picture book will be published by Scholastic in 2026.

Vicki Bennett's latest work for children Charlie's War was published by Windy Hollow in October 2023. In April 2025 she launched her debut work of historical fiction, The Letters, with Boolarong.
