Andrew Marmont was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and is a freelance sports journalist, ghostwriter and copywriter based in Melbourne, Australia. His work has appeared in Fairfax Media, Inside Sport, The New Daily and NRL.com. Andrew has loved sport from an early age, frequently airing his views on NZ's Radio Sport as a boy. His first interview was Sir Edmund Hillary at the age of 13.

His first book, Their Finest Hour - A History of the Rugby League World Cup in 10 Matches was published by ABC Books in July 2017. He is working on a book about T20 Cricket.
